Mindy Albright is an International Critical Incident Stress Foundation CISM instructor approved to teach several of the ICISF courses. Other certifications include Trauma Chaplaincy, Hostage Negotiator, instructor for Hazmat, CERT, WMD, Incident for Terrorist Bombings and Prevention of Suicide Bomber are with New Mexico Tech. She also serves on the Board of Michigan Crisis Response Assoc. responding to crisis events. She is also part of the Michigan Mortuary Response Team (MI-MORT).
Chaplain Albright is a certified lay counselor and a Board certified Advanced Crisis and Trauma Chaplain through the American Association for Christian Counselors, certified counselor in suicide prevention, FEMA certified, and specializes in crisis intervention debriefing.
As a graduate of the FBI Citizen’s Academy, a life member of the FBI Citizen’s Alumni Association, a Rapid Response Disaster Team Chaplain with the Billy Graham Evangelical Association, and prior Trauma and Crisis

More than forty five years of education and experience in Emergency Services started with serving in Civil Air Patrol, an Auxiliary of the United States Air Force. Her Air Force ECI certifications include, Ground Team Leader, Flight Scanner, Flight Mission Observer, Security Police, SAR Management and Law Enforcement Specialist. Part of her service included five years as Michigan Wing Director of Logistics where she received Michigan’s first “Outstanding Rating” from the U.S. Air Force. While attending Region Staff College at Grissom AFB, she received the Speaker of the Year Award along with a Meritorious Service Award.
Community service has included K-9 Crisis/Trauma response, K-9 SAR missions with NASDN, Chippewa Co. Sheriff Dept., K-9 Therapy Dogs, Service Dogs. Responding to Katrina, Harvey, Sandy Hook, Ike relief, Boston Marathon Bombing, shootings at Northern Illinois University, Oxford MI school shooting, and numerous SAR missions throughout the state are just a few of her disaster response experience. As well she serves on the Advisory Committee for the Region 2 South Healthcare Coalition. She has coordinated and served in five medical missions to African countries.
As a noted speaker and author, she is sought to bring the practical application of “tools that work” in the field. Mindy’s command of the topic of crisis intervention enables her to bring the qualifying dynamics to students in the classroom and in the field enabling them to assist others in crisis.
Mindy is the recipient of the Diplomate Distinction from the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress. This is a prestigious credential awarded to members that recognizes their experience in working with survivors of traumatic events and/or crisis management, knowledge, training and level of education. As well, she received the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation’s Community Service Award at the ICISF World Congress in Baltimore, May 2015.
